    Still in Canada...

    - don't know that I want to come home.

Today I'm rockin' the Xanga because my brother and his girlfriend both had to work, and right now mom is taking a nap.
I am in love with Canada. In love.
I'll have many pictures to post later on in the week.
We've basically been exploring the city, hitting up all the pubs and enjoying the film festival. I got to see WHIP IT! (not due in theaters until October 2nd) and it was amazing. I kind of want to be a roller derby girl. Maybe that will be my next career choice. Army... roller derby... I'm seeing the similarities. I guess you have to be able to take a hit in both.
People here are so friendly. I mean... really.
And it's beautiful. I have been camera crazy.

    Anyway, more later.

    My Mother

    ...drives me completely insane sometimes.
I think maybe it's because we are too alike in some ways and not enough in others.
Today was nothing big, just enough to annoy me.
She is having a party tonight for people she works with and asked if I would either run to the grocery store and pick up things she needed, or clean the downstairs of our house. I needed some things from the store anyway so I told her I'd do that part of it for her. I called her from the store and asked which kind of ground beef she wanted me to buy. (Guessing would have been a serious mistake.) She tried explaining it to me but I still had no idea what she wanted. I asked the clerk to direct me to the kind my mom had described and he also had no idea what my mom was talking about. I called her back and she said she would come and get the meat herself later. I still bought all of the other things she needed.
When I got home, she asked if I would clean the downstairs. I asked "wasn't that what you were supposed to be doing while I was at the store?" - Mistake.
I got to hear allll about how she was in a TIME CRUNCH NOW because I couldn't do the "simple task" of buying the groceries. And I guess she was just so upset about me being a complete failure at life that while I was off ruining the evening, she had to sit on the couch and watch television rather than clean.
Damn, I am crushing lives right and left.

Anyway... we leave for Canada tomorrow to see my brother for the week. My brother is probably the only person who I feel really understands me (at least for the most part) and I always love getting to spend time with him and his girlfriend. I should have lots of awesome pictures to post on here when I get back :D - assuming mom doesn't kill me on the plane ride there. And this week is the Toronto Film Festival, yay!! So hopefully we will get to watch cool movies and possibly get some autographs. Last night, my brother's girlfriend got Colin Firth's! I am jealous. Ahh.
    Until next Wednesday -

Kanye, how could you be so heartless?

    Kanye:

I think Katy Perry put it best on her Twitter when she said your outburst during Taylor Swift's acceptance speech was like "stepping on a kitten" -
    Nice 1980's haircut, man.
Go write more songs that all sound the same.
I hope Jay Leno pees on you tonight.
And I'm pretty sure Beyonce still won't have sex with you.
Oh and congratulations on the win! Oh wait, you didn't win anything.
If I would have been lame enough to have any of your songs illegally downloaded onto my Ipod, I would have deleted them last night. But I didn't.
I wish they would have let Pink kick your ass.
Better yet, I wish they'd let ME kick your ass.
I can't wait for Taylor Swift to make money off of a song she writes about you. And I hope it wins a VMA.

It's been a good past couple of days.
Yesterday, mom & I decided sitting at the house doing nothing is overrated, so we ventured to Cedar Lakes (5 minutes from my house) with a packed lunch and my digital camera - I realize that to some people, eating peanut butter and jelly sandwiches with your mom isn't the coolest Friday you could have, but to me, it was perfect. I almost felt like a little kid again and sometimes I need that.
We took pictures of each other jumping in the air so it looked like we were flying. HA. Let's just say it took more than a few tries to get it right, but here they are:

Then today, it was MOUNTAINEER FOOTBALL TIME!! I have been really impressed, especially after today's game, with our new quarterback. Jarrett Brown, please marry me. Mom & I ate pizza bites and screamed at the computer (it wasn't televised today). Another win for WVU = another good day for me.

And as always, the main highlight of the last couple days has been my amazing boyfriend. Any time that he has a cell phone to talk to me on and we can make plans for all of the awesome things we will do whenever he gets to leave Fort Leonard Wood makes my heart happy He has turned me into a complete sap, but I'm not complaining.

I think I'll take a bubble bath & cross my fingers that I get to talk to him again tonight before I fall asleep.
